Honestly, I am tired

I am tired of its ugly face springing up each morning yawning well, while eerie cries are heard from the corners of every home
I am tired of its smile, when nothing seems too cheerful to smile about
I am tired of it partying all through the night, to all sorts of melodies, while the harmony of familiar faces on Percival Street in Freetown, Ratoma in Conakry, and Broad Street in Monrovia are gradually disintegrating
I am tired of ebola, its popularity, its fame, the unwanted household name, like the rodent underneath fragile dinner plates and on top of prized antiques
Go away!
I am tired of the broadness of its reach, its power to yield social media to its every beckon call
I cringe each time it's shared, I long for the unfollow button on Facebook even more each time its annoying status shows up on my newsfeed
I am tired of it showing up in my mind when all I want to do is to clear away its occupancy and evict it for good from the space it leases from my thoughts.
Go away!
I am tired of its fashion sense, the ankara it wears and the way it seems to be a trendy cloth to wear these days in West Africa
I am tired of its technology, its advancement, its ability to spread like wildfire and assimilate into the most rural of communities
I am tired of its urban nature, its potential to adjust and accommodate all those it touches
I am tired of its upper echelon tendencies as it mingles with the Doctors, and its communist political philosophy with its idealistic plea for the proletariat, its stupid belief in the sharing of its wealth among the poor
Go away ebola!
I am tired of its insensitive backbone, its self-esteem inside is low, so to compensate for this it clings itself to the wind of celebrity and prominence
I am tired of where it sleeps, in the incompetence of broken healthcare systems and unstable public administrations
I am tired of the authority it has with mainstream media, the ocean of misconstrued truths about who it is, why its here and where it shows up
I am tired of its boring performances that replaces applause with boos of teardrops and wailing from its audience.
I am tired that it is received where it is clearly not welcome
Go away ebola go away!
Get away from this place, from this mind, from this world, from this space that was way better without it than with it in it
I am tired of this parasite, this alien, and all of its supporters, its conspiracy theorists
I just want it gone, gone, gone.
