As a storyteller, my main squeeze is to share, and express, and to tell of those things both distant and near.  The Griot in me is inspired by that amazing story of my Great-Grandmother saving the children from the Aku River, or my Great-Great...Grandfather leading a group of freed slaves from the Americas to Freetown, or even my Pianist Grand-Aunt who went mad, and yes, my Grandfather who translated the great Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar from English to Krio, transforming a perception of language in an age when language itself was at it odds with the identity of a people.

Unlike others, I am held captive by my roots, like others I am yet too comfy in the cradle of my roots to want to let my leaves fall off.  I am a product from my Family, chosen by God as my Pedigree, my yardstick and measure of time’s unique relationship with me, even centuries before I was born.  Some call it Family History, others call it Family Tree, whichever way the telling of my Ancestors begin and end, I choose to name it, Family Knotted.
